Brush Park CDC

Our organization began as the Brush Park Citizen's District Council, an City mandated elected group of Brush Park residents who provided advisory input on urban renewal projects within Brush Park. In 2014, the City of Detroit Emergency Manager passed an order eliminating the Citizen's District Councils. With encouragement from City officials, developers and the community, the Brush Park Citizen's District Council board members re-organized as the Brush Park Community Development Corporation (the "CDC"), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
